Wonder Kid Neymar Has The World At His Feet!

Scotland vs. Brazil

Who – The Brazilian and Scottish national football teams.
What – Friendly Match.
Where – The Emirates, London.
When – 27th March 2011
Why – Because my favourite player plays for the Brazilian national team.

Justification
I think this article is important to include because my favourite football player, Neymar plays for Brazil. Also, it was interesting seeing the best national football team play against one of the not so good national teams. Bizarrely the Scottish and the Brazilian fans were mixed in the stands. Normally the fans would not be aloud to sit in the same stands due to match tension and violence. The fans mixed well which is important to mention because it shows fans can cooperate instead

Outline
• Friendly match with the Brazilian nation team and the Scottish national team
• A very young Brazilian team and a pretty experienced Scottish team
• 19 year old Neymar scores two goals
• Brazil win 2-0

First draft of article

19 year old wonder kid Neymar stole the show in the friendly clash between Scotland and Brazil at a packed out Emirates.

Brazil sent out a young team in a friendly against a pretty experienced Scottish
The Brazilians started the better team coming close twice with Jadson’s fierce shot from an angle and Leandro Damiao headed effort clipping the top of the bar early in the game.
Brazil looked in total control and looked to the be the first team to bread the dead-lock.
And that was the deal, in the 42nd minute, Andre Santos played the ball to Neymar inside the 18 yard box, the 19 year old Santos forward took one touch to control it, opened his body and curled the ball into the far corner of the net.
The Brazilians started the 2nd half the better team coming close on a couple of times, Neymar being the first with a blistering shot that just went over the bar within the 1st minute.

Brazil carried on piling bodies forward. They almost got a 2nd goal when the ball was played out wide to Dani Alves who picked out Ramires but the Chelsea midfielder couldn’t control his shot and fired high over from about 11 yards.
Leandro Damioa once again came close when a corner was swung in but the 21 year old Internacional striker could only head wide.
The 2nd goal the Brazilians were looking for finally came 13 minutes from time when Neymar received the ball just inside the 18 yard box; he did a lovely piece of skill to get around his defender but a tackle from Blackpool’s Charlie Adam brought down the young striker summing up the Scottish midfielders poor performance.
The referee had no hesitation and pointed straight to the penalty spot.
Neymar stepped up to take the spot kick and coolly slotted the ball in the bottom left corner while Scotland’s keeper, Allan McGregor went the opposite way.
Couple minutes later Liverpool’s midfielder, Lucas Leiva went on a wonderful run combining with Neymar but the teenagers shot was deflected in to the arms of Allan McGregor.
Although Brazil dominated the majority of the game, the Scots came close to pulling a goal back when Aston Villa midfielder, Barry Bannan’s free-kick was on target but the experienced Julio Cesar dealt with it well.
Another Brazilian teenager also almost made a name for himself when 18 year old Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva or simply Lucas, who came on to make his full international debut, showed a lovely piece of trickery and pace to set up Valencia striker Jonas Oliveira but the 6ft striker’s shot went over the crossbar in injury time.
The Brazilians knew they had secured victory and just kept the ball for the remainder of the game. At the full time whistle, the fans applauded both teams for what was an exciting game at the Emirates.

When: November 2010
Where: Cambridge university.
What: Tuition fees
Who: Government
Why:  Raising tuition fees

Tuition Fees:

As you all know tuition fees have been raised this year TWICE as much as last year.
This has affected everyone. All around Britain, people have gone on strikes to try and stop this Tuition Fees. But the government just turned there back on the public. It got to the point where people have been brutally hurt by the police, because of this they are in hospital. This then got so extreme that people have even died, in result to the tuition fees. This shows that the government have turned their back on their own people.  A member of the public says ‘‘this government isn’t for us.’’ IN 2001 the tuition per one full year was around £3,000; Now 2011 it is £9,000 per year.

Scotland’s universities are free. England is criticized for wanting money. Why can’t England’s Tuition Fees be free? In his speech, Mr Salmond said education must be based on the ability to learn, not the ability to pay. Alex Salmond is the Scottish National Parliament leader (also known as the SNP).

The public think that the tuition fees will rise again next year. The public think that when it gets to 2015, when I am in university then the tuition fees will be raised 5 times more then this years raise. This will affect me and other young people because we will not have enough money to go university so therefore the family will not encourage their children to go university. This will then end up in clever kids that have the potential to pass university not going because of the risen fees.
The government is ridiculously decreasing the budgets of every thing and increasing the cost of going to universities.

David Cameron who we all know has a big role in tuition. He can change help change the budget cuts and the increasing tuition fees. BUT he is completely on the other side of our argument. University have now made it harder for people from different countries to come and study there. Cameron was interviewed by students, a student asked Mr. Cameron if he believed the move would restrict the opportunities for Chinese youngsters to gain places on university courses in Britain.
Mr. Cameron said raising tuition fees will mean ''two things”: “It will make sure our universities are well funded ...and we won't go on increasing so fast the fees for overseas students.
''In the past we have been pushing up the fees on overseas students and using that as a way of keeping them down for domestic students.
“We have done the difficult thing. We have put up contributions for British students. Yes, foreign students will still pay a significant amount of money but we should now be able to keep that growth under control.”

Who: Josh Felvus & Liam jempson
What:  saved drowning man.
Where: Feeder Canal.
When:  2010
Why: Because a man was dying.

A PAIR of childhood friends has been hailed as heroes after risking their own lives to save a drowning man from the Feeder canal.
They were told to wait for help but josh felvus and Liam Jemp said they couldn't watch the man die, so they dived into the water to help him at feeder canal and dragged him to safety.
The pair were on their way home to Fishponds from a night out at Motion Skate Park, near Temple Meads Station, when they Seen the man in the river While 20-year-old Mr. Felvus called the ambulance, they watched helplessly as the man struggled to stay above the surface of the water.
After minutes of waiting student Mr. Jempson, 19, jumped into the 2.5-metre deep water, closely followed by his friend and they pulled the man to safety.
This is a statement from Mr. Felvus:
"We'd been clubbing and had a few to drink and we were on our way home. It was about 5.30am and we were sat on the bridge with some other friends and a girl screamed there was someone in the water. We ran around to the water's edge and called an ambulance. We kept screaming at the man, telling him to swim over to the side so we could pull him out. We got a stick but he was too far away to reach and he kept going under. The emergency services told us not to enter the water but it got to the stage when he was going under for longer and longer. Liam jumped in and at that point he went under and didn't come back up. The bubbles were the only thing that showed where he was. I went in as well and we got him to one side where the ambulance had arrived. They gave us a rope to wrap around him and hauled him up the embankment, and then there was a ladder for us to climb up."
The mom of the drowned man thanked the two heroes for what they have done.
These two heroes have been friends from May park primary school, some people say that they’ve been heroes from young.
